I came home soaked. I forgot it was going to rain and so, I forgot to take an umbrella. Today in New York City, it rained like God was angry and ready to strike us down for our transgressions. I walked home. I thought it was only right that I take my punishment in stride. I stripped down, toweled myself dry and was thisclose to taking a nap. And just as I was falling asleep, my phone rings.

"You sound like you're sleeping," Caleb cheers on.
"Sorta. But it's ok. Hi..." I whispered, half asleep.
"No, go back to sleep. I'll call later."
"No, I'd rather talk to you than sleep."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Just talk to me, ok?"
"Ok. I miss you, Sunny."
"I miss you too, Caleb."
"I'll play you a song. How about that? And if you fall asleep, I'll just hang up."
"Ok. What are you going to play?"
"Here..."

And out of the phone came DJ Shadow's "Midnight In A Perfect World."

"How did you know?" I asked.
"I don't know. It just feels like it, you know?"
"I do."

And ten seconds into the song I faded away.
